SATELLITE IMAGE INTEGRATION
We source high-resolution satellite imagery from related departments which we use to identify topographical and cadastral features, spot encroachment etc. We use satellite images of sub-meter accuracy to ensure that the process is flawless. As a part of the raster data, these images are powerful visual aids which can be used to derive information regarding land use and land cover. The satellite images help in the identification of topographical and cadastral features of the area of interest. As a result, these images can be used to extract useful information for conducting topographical surveys.
The process of updating and correcting existing land records is elaborate. Hence, we have adopted a systematic approach for the computerization of land records to maintain accuracy and uniformity.
- The satellite images are processed and classified for the creation of a land use map
- Digitized cadastral maps, toposheets, land use maps etc. are superimposed on the satellite images to form a single map depicting the features of the land.
- This is followed by georeferencing these maps through the collection of Ground Control Points (GCPs) for developing a GIS-based land management system.
- The attribute data of the land features are integrated into the map with spatial data.
Satellites record what actually exists on the ground. Hence, the information is up-to-date and there is zero chance of omitted data. Satellite images provide accurate facts for map preparation.
